Katherine Burrelsman, Psy.D., Psych Assistant (PSB 34527). Supervisor is Juliet Rohde-Brown, Ph.D. (PSY 20964):

I have been working in the mental health field since 2000. I have worked with chronically mental ill adults at the Phoenix of Santa Barbara and gained clinical hours for my doctorate at Santa Barbara County Mental Health and Aroura Vista del Mar psychiatric hospital in Ventura. This compliment of experiences has prepared me as a clinician for a wide array of human concerns and distress. I use an integrative approach to therapy which includes humanistic (Rogerian), Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, and Gestalt techniques. I am accepting adult clients but will consider older adolescents who are mature and goal oriented.

In addition to individual psychotherapy, I am starting an 8-week Bibliotherapy group soon. We will meet on Thursdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Bibliotherapy is an expressive therapy that uses an individual's relationship to the content of book, poetry, and other written works as therapy.

Please contact me for further information regarding cost and protocol and to sign-up for the group. I can be reached at kburr09@yahoo.com or (805) 259-5955.
